"I realized my piece was more about humorous awareness than serious change. I noticed many people's works were serious, solemn, or guilt-tripping, and I wanted to veer away from that.
My work is really about Disney's push into 3D and "killing" off 2D, represented in a pixelated 3D Mickey Mouse on a Mac crushing a 2D Mickey. To further this idea, I rendered the bottom lyrics as 3D wireframes by means of Illustrator's 3D tool. The colors are based on Mickey's palette.
Overall, I think I could have pushed the idea and detail much further had I been given more time."
